When completing
your application form either on-line or
on paper, here are a few dos and
don’ts which may help you secure an
interview with Umbrella:
DO:
• Read the job description and person
specification carefully before applying
for the position.
• Highlight how you meet each requirement
listed in the person specification for the
position you are applying for.
• Check for spelling, grammar mistakes
and legibility, if we cannot read or understand
what you have written we cannot see how
great you are for the position.
• Make sure you have completed your
full employment history, as this may be
checked if you are successful in getting
the position.
• Be honest and factual.
• Make sure you complete all the sections.
DON’T:
• Apply if you do not meet the requirements
of the position.
• Write about everything you have
done, we are only interested in your skills
and experience that are relevant to the
position you are applying for.
• Use jargon or abbreviations, which
are not clear.
• Send us your CV unless we have specifically
asked for it.
